Custom Guitars &
Basses
Samick
Hollowbody w/ original Gibson P-90 pick-up. Flames and Pinstriping
done by Pete "Hot Dog" Finlan, one of my "mentors"
in painting. The Tikiman is also hand painted. Believe it or not,
there is a matching upright bass to this piece, owned by Rob King
from the "Fat Tones".
Here's
another "Hot Rod" guitar, the hand carved "Tikiman",
done by my good friend Aaron Holland. Stratocaster painted gold,
with rosewood neck, mother of pearl pickguard, custom pick-ups,
and glowing red eyes...very cool.
Hand made
"Fender" P-Bass, with rosewood neck. Painted with a
"mirror" finished black, gold metallic flames, and gold
metallic pickguard and hardware. (Woodwork and paint by Scott
Blinn)
Matching
Stratocaster and P-Bass (Woodwork and paint by Scott Blinn).
Handmade
Strat to match the P-Bass. The "Deluxe" chrome (painted
black) came directly off my '52 Chevy.
Handmade
'51 P-Bass (single coil pick-up, Tele headstock, and chrome hardware).
This body was made out of a single piece of ash. The chrome neck
plate and tuning keys of the bass have been given the "brushed"
look (below).(Woodwork and paint by Scott Blinn.)
