Traditional Roadhouse Blues at it's finest. With San Diego legend Ken Schoppmeyer and his rich toned vocals and
well seasoned harp tones, and blues guitar ace Johnny Flynn fronting the band, "Let's Have A Party" delivers some of the
hottest Blues this side of Chicago. Featuring covers of classic songs by T-Bone Walker, Bill Jennings, Guitar Slim, and
Anson Funderburgh just to name a few, Delta Heat has managed to put their stamp on these songs while preserving the
integrity of the originals.

From the swingin' West Coast sounds of "Rock This House" and "Hustle Is On", to the slow burners "Hurts To Love Someone"
and "Blue Mood", and the gritty sounds of "Have You Ever Had The Blues" and "Suggestion Blues", Delta Heat proves
they are masters of all these styles. What's best is these guys show taste and restraint, always playing for the song and
the groove.

With the solid rhythm section of Dave Grogan on bass and Fred Sannipoli on drums, the back beat is heavy, and the joint is
jumpin'. Pat Kelley spices things up with his barrelhouse piano and funky B3 organ. Aaron Hudson and Don Carter join the
party with saxophones, trumpet, and trombone to make things really swing. Come on in...Let's Have A Party!

Background:

Delta Heat and it's members have been on the San Diego, CA scene for many years. They don't play the songs most 'blues
bands' play, opting to find real gems from the obscure to the more known Blues masters. Ken Schoppmeyer is an encyclo-
pedia of the Blues, and Johnny Flynn proves every show he can hang with the best of them on guitar. Together they provide
a solid and energetic front to Delta Heat.

At the time of the release of their first CD, "Let's Have A Party", Ken went on hiatus. Lance Dieckmann (formerly of D.A. &
The Hitmen--also on Double Barrel Records) has stepped in to fill the vocal and harmonica spot, and spotlights his own
brand of powerful singing and playing.

Jump, Chicago, Texas, West Coast, Uptown to Downtown, Delta Heat keeps the night (and their CD) fresh with many styles
and grooves. They don't just play the Blues, they feel 'em.
