CORNWALL Pierre Groulx sat straight faced in a Cornwall court Thursday as a jury convicted him of second degree murder in the death of his mother three years ago.
Groulx said the argument resulted in him shoving his mother into the face plate of a kitchen oven, causing a gash to the back of her head.
The jury of 12 agreed with the Crown's premise on Thursday in a very quick deliberation of less than two hours.

Forty year old Groulx looked to the front of the courtroom as the jury read the verdict following the two week trial a verdict that carries an automatic life sentence.
Evans said he then dragged his mother from the kitchen to her bedroom, placed her on the couch and strangled her to make it look like an accident.
